Monsoon Season–A Post about Nothing

Posted on July 28, 2013

It’s Monsoon season. That doesn’t necessarily mean it rains, the way it does during most monsoon seasons. Historically it did, but thanks to poor range management and the Urban Heat Sink, monsoon season around here means increased humidity, cloud cover that traps even more heat if it stays overnight, haboobs, and only the occasional rain shower–generally on days when I forget my umbrella.

This weather generally inspires me to hibernate. We’ve been working on getting the house cleaned up–an exercise in futility with Snort running around. He’s the Haboob of children.
